Wake up with warmth and intention. Lady E’s everyday mug is a small-batch handmade ceramic mug, thoughtfully crafted in a century old home in Portland, Oregon where locally-sourced clay and glazes uplift small businesses.

 

Made to be beautifully functional, this mug is ideal for your morning coffee, afternoon tea or cozy evening cocoa.

 

Lady E’s umbrella mug gives a nod to our rainy weather and is part of the Literary Arts café collection, a community-based non-profit. Each mug is wheel-thrown and hand-carved with an umbrella plus occasional extra surprises. After burrs and sharpness are removed from the carvings each umbrella is individually hand-painted with solid and softly blended colors to meet the moment.

 

This process makes each piece unique, supporting quiet contemplation or shared moments with personalized mugs –- a little reminder that even ordinary moments can feel extraordinary when shaped with intention.

 

I hand wash all of my pottery, but as part of the café collection this piece is field-tested to be microwave- and dishwasher-safe, durable enough for long-lasting everyday use.
