I have always loved art but by 13 I was deep into planning for adulthood. I took art classes as electives, but steeled myself to focus on career. My career progressed well, but I wasn’t becoming the person I wanted to be.

So I left the world I knew to find a new path.

I dug deeper into non-profit work and was surprised I loved running a small business. Then I took a pottery class and discovered a new way to express myself and connect with others. Since then, I have slowly been rebuilding a new life. Nicknames Lizzie, Miss E and the Lady combined to make Lady E, and opposing arrows remind me that every day I have the choice to approach ordinary moments with joy and wonder.
My pottery is a reflection of my mind’s eye; each piece tells a story that is unique and perfectly imperfect, just like each of us! Putting myself out there is vulnerable and scary, but my work feels personally meaningful. I am still deeply involved with non-profits and community organizations and my life is full of kindred spirits.
I make my pottery the slow way. I rarely use ribs when throwing, I carve each piece to uniquely fit its vessel and refine color palettes based on my creative mood. My work is small batch so I don’t lose sight of what really matters.
Maybe we are also kindred spirits? If so, let's connect via my contact page, newsletter or instagram!
