Wake up with warmth and intention. Lady E’s everyday mug is a small-batch handmade ceramic mug, thoughtfully crafted in a century old home in Portland, Oregon where locally-sourced clay and glazes uplift small businesses.

 

Made to be beautifully functional, this mug is ideal for your morning coffee, afternoon tea or cozy evening cocoa.

 

The swimming upstream mug is wheel-thrown with stylized rushing water and a salmon fighting to push through carved into the side. The scene is hand-painted, using both standard and sgrafitto techniques, mimicking the many methods available to push against the challenges we each face.

This process makes each piece unique, supporting quiet contemplation or shared moments with personalized mugs –- a little reminder that even ordinary moments can feel extraordinary when shaped with intention.

 

I hand wash all of my pottery, but the swimming upstream mug is part of the café collection and field-tested to be microwave- and dishwasher-safe, durable enough for long-lasting everyday use.
