Wake up with warmth and intention. Lady E’s everyday mug is a small-batch handmade ceramic mug, thoughtfully crafted in a century old home in Portland, Oregon where locally-sourced clay and glazes uplift small businesses.

 

Made to be beautifully functional, this mug is ideal for your morning coffee, afternoon tea or cozy evening cocoa.

 

Each snowy birch mug is wheel-thrown with several birch trees carved around it, each with their own knots and layers of bark. Several different techniques are then employed with careful application of stain, layers of glaze and wax to create a stylized view of a snowy birch forest and a pleasant, varied tactile experience.

 

This process makes each piece unique, supporting quiet contemplation or shared moments with personalized mugs –- a little reminder that even ordinary moments can feel extraordinary when shaped with intention.

 

I hand wash all of my pottery, but this particular version of the snowy birch mug is part of the café collection and field-tested to be microwave- and dishwasher-safe, durable enough for long-lasting everyday use.
