snowy birch

As soon as I could reliably repeat my first shape, I created a nature series of mugs. I took a lot of time and care with this design both to play with the techniques I had learned and also because Birch trees have always felt extra special to me. When it was completed, it was my favorite of the series.

I was nervous to try it again in case I didn't like the outcome as much, but then I realized I needed to dive in to pursue even better outcomes. I continue to play with the coloring and detail for the trees and snow and look forward to the evolution.
